Roy Forbes

For thirteen years Roy Forbes was the main vocalist with the legendary Andy Hamilton's blue notes. He has played at: Jazz Café London, The Stables Theatre Wavendon, Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club (London), Brecon Jazz Festival, Cork Jazz Festival, Greenwich Festival, Soho Jazz Festival, The Madia (Milan), St Lucia Jazz Festival and Limoges Jazz Festival (France).
He has performed with Larry Coryell, David Murray, Scott Hamilton, Alan Barnes and Jean Toussaint.
He has recorded three albums: "Going Home", "Telma" and "Last Orders", and was a featured artist, at the Birmingham International Jazz & Blues Festival 2013.
Roy is a dynamic and versatile contemporary jazz singer, who interprets the great American songbook with blues and soul influences.

The Suffolks Street Fair

We are joining in with The Suffolks Street Fair fun. This year we return with our much-loved oysters, Pimms and Champagne pop-up bar outside the restaurant from 10 am, and delicious food inside from midday till 5 pm.

The fun continues even when the market is over; we have the wonderful Kim Cypher gracing our stage in the evening and Martini Monday means you can enjoy 2-4-1 on all martini till late.

Kim Cypher - Saxophonist, Jazz Vocalist & Composer

Inspired by the funkier side of jazz and having studied alongside US saxophonist Pee Wee Ellis and internationally acclaimed jazz saxophonist Andy Sheppard, Kim’s style of performance is best described as 'funky saxophonist meets 1940's jazz singer'. Kim performs an eclectic mix of music spanning many genres with a quirky, jazzy twist together with some original tracks from her recently released debut album 'Make Believe', all packaged up in a captivating performance and warm stage presence. With performances all across the UK and in New York under her belt, Kim will be appearing alongside a fabulous band featuring guitarist Chris Cobbson together with Wayne Elliott on bass and Mike Cypher on drums.

As well as our regular Jazz Club at The Daffodil every Monday evening, we also bring you our amazing Martini Mondays offer.

For every Martini that you buy we will mix another for you absolutely free. Choose from classics such as the Dry Martini or French Martini to new classics such as The Vesper, James Bond’s drink of choice, or a smooth Espresso Martini. All enjoyed with the soothing tones from our live Jazz performances on the stage; the perfect way to beat the Monday blues.

Available in both the bar and restaurant from 5pm until close on Monday evenings.
