St Eadburgha
Cows/organic/pasteurised. An organic cow’s milk cheese produced in Broadway, Worcestershire. Mike Stacey who makes the cheese won more awards than anyone else at this year’s British Cheese Awards. The creamy interior paste is completed by apple-like sharpness in the rind. Develops a tasty hawthorn flavour as it matures, and works well with a glass of cider.
Montgomery’s Cheddar
Unpasteurised Cow’s Milk. Made in North Cadbury, Somerset. A golden cheddar with grey/brown natural inedible rind. The king of cheddars, and many times winner at the British Cheese awards! Matured for 13-15 months.Flavour: Huge range of flavours with nutty and grassy flavours dominating, giving way to a strong lingering tang.
Cerney Pyramid
Goats/unpasteurised/vegetarian. A multi award-winning goat’s cheese made in North Cerney near Cirencester. Delicately flavoured with a rounded creaminess and richness, developing nutty characters as it ages. Coated in oak ash. Can be aged for up to 6 weeks for a sharper tang.
Devon Blue
Unpasteurised Cow’s Milke. Vegetarian. Made in Totnes, Devon by Robin Congdon. Cream colour with light blue veining. A superb British blue.Flavour: Very different to most blues. Buttery at first, then fruity with a gentle blue tang slowly blending with the other flavours.
Cornish Yarg
A semi hard and moist cow’s milk cheese, with a milky, fresh taste and a gentle tang that develops as the cheese ages. The cheese has a distinctive appearance being wrapped in nettles (which are edible).
